Privacy Policy

1.  Who we are

Human Superpowers is a partnership between two companies that work together to deliver consultancy, training, and related services. When we say "we", "us", or "our" in this policy, we mean both companies acting together under the Human Superpowers brand.
 

The two companies are:

  • KNA Communications Ltd, trading as Email Attraction, registered at 167-169 Great Portland Street, 5th Floor, London, W1W 5PF, England. Company number: 08459636.

  • Amber Foster Consulting Ltd, registered at Southgate Farm, Cuckfield Lane, Warninglid, Haywards Heath, England, RH17 5SN. Company number: 09003144.
     

We are joint controllers of your personal data. This means we jointly decide why and how your personal data is processed. We have an arrangement between us that sets out our respective responsibilities for complying with data protection law. You can contact either of us about your data (see section 11 below).​

2.  What this policy covers
 

This policy explains what personal data we collect, why we collect it, what we do with it, how long we keep it, and what rights you have. It applies to:

  • the Human Superpowers website

  • our newsletters and email communications

  • our training, workshops, and consultancy services

  • any other interactions you have with us​

3.  What personal data we collect
 

We may collect and process the following data about you:
 

Information you give us directly:

  • your name and email address (for example, when you sign up to our newsletter or enquire about our services)

  • your job title, organisation, and contact details (when you book training or consultancy)

  • any information in emails or messages you send us

  • feedback and responses during training sessions

  • invoicing details (your name, organisation, and address, so we can invoice for our services)
     

Information we collect automatically:

  • website usage data through cookies (see section 12 and our Cookie Policy for details)

  • email engagement data (for example, whether you opened a newsletter), collected through our email platform
     

Information we receive from third parties:

We may also receive your contact details from third parties, such as professional introductions, event organisers, or LinkedIn (including LinkedIn Sales Navigator), where you have made your details publicly available or where someone reasonably believes you would expect the introduction.

​​4.  Why we process your data and our lawful basis
 

Under UK GDPR, we must have a lawful basis for processing your personal data. The table below sets out what we use your data for and the legal basis we rely on.

5.   Who we share your data with
 

We do not sell your personal data to anyone. We may share your data with the following types of service providers who process data on our behalf:

  • Email platform: Mailchimp

  • Website hosting: Wix.com Ltd

  • Cloud storage: Microsoft 365

  • Meeting software: Microsoft Teams, Zoom

  • LinkedIn Sales Navigator

  • Invoicing and accounting software: Crunch (used by Amber Foster Consulting Ltd) and QuickBooks (used by KNA Communications Ltd)

  • CRM: Capsule
     

These providers only process your data on our instructions and are required to keep it secure. We have contracts in place with each of them.​

 

6.  International transfers
 

Some of our service providers are based outside the UK. Where this is the case, we make sure appropriate safeguards are in place, such as the UK International Data Transfer Agreement (IDTA) or the UK Addendum to the EU Standard Contractual Clauses, as approved by the ICO.​

7.   How long we keep your data
 

We only keep your personal data for as long as we need it. Here is a guide:

  • Newsletter subscribers: we keep your name and email address for as long as you remain subscribed. If you unsubscribe, we delete your data within 30 days.

  • Client and booking data: we keep records of training and consultancy work for 6 years after the engagement ends, in line with legal and tax requirements.

  • Email correspondence: we keep emails for 3 years unless there is a reason to keep them longer.

​​8.  How we protect your data

We take appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your personal data, including using secure cloud-based systems, limiting access to those who need it to perform their role, and applying reasonable security controls across our systems and suppliers.​

9.   Your rights
 

Under UK data protection law, you have the following rights over your personal data:

  • Right of access — you can ask for a copy of the data we hold about you.

  • Right to rectification — you can ask us to correct data that is inaccurate or incomplete.

  • Right to erasure — you can ask us to delete your data in certain circumstances.

  • Right to restrict processing — you can ask us to limit how we use your data.

  • Right to data portability — you can ask for your data in a portable format.

  • Right to object — you can object to processing based on legitimate interests or direct marketing.

  • Rights related to automated decision-making — you have the right not to be subject to decisions based solely on automated processing. We do not currently make automated decisions about you.
     

These rights are free to exercise. We will respond to any request within one month. You can exercise any of these rights by contacting either of us (see section 11). Our joint controller arrangement sets out how we handle data subject rights requests, data security, and compliance responsibilities between us.​

10.   Your right to complain
 

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your data, we would like the chance to put it right. Please contact us first. If you are still not satisfied, you have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO):

We keep this policy under regular review. If we make significant changes, we will let you know by email or by placing a notice on our website.
